JENNIFER MOSS

Jennifer is the owner of Moss Acupuncture, a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) clinic she started in 2002. Moss Acupuncture is a general TCM practice employing the methods of acupuncture, herbal medicine, western nutritional supplements, dietary recommendations, and reiki. As a primary health care practitioner, Jennifer sees many patients with a wide variety of conditions. Additionally, Jennifer frequently treats patients for fertility and conception, pregnancy-related issues, pain and injuries, fatigue, stress and anxiety, menstrual irregularities, PMS, and digestive disorders.

Certification
Jennifer is currently certified to practice Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology both nationally and by the State of California.  Jennifer has also been certified to practice Usui Reiki since 1995.

Fertility and Conception
Jennifer is a professional member of the national infertility organization, RESOLVE, and the American Association of Oriental Medicine (AAOM). She has had advanced training and specialized education in treating infertility and obstetrics with Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Jennifer is one of a select few San Francisco Bay Area practitioners to demonstrate sufficient competency and advanced knowledge in the field of both Western and Oriental Reproductive Medicine to become a Certified Practitioner and Fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (ABORM).

In 2007, Jennifer co-founded the acupuncture group at Pacific Fertility Center (PFC), a world-renowned San Francisco Assisted Reproductive Therapy Clinic. Jennifer provides fertility acupuncture treatments to patients at PFC in San Francisco as a complement to her busy private fertility practice at Moss Acupuncture.

Facial Rejuvenation
Jennifer has received advanced training and specialized education in Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation including advanced certification from Mary Elizabeth-Wakefield. Jennifer currently treats men and women with cosmetic facial rejuvenating acupuncture for wrinkles, sagging, puffiness, and other skin problems. Education
Jennifer Moss graduated magna cum laude from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1998, studying environmental science and life sciences.

In 1998, Jennifer moved to San Francisco to pursue graduate study in Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 2001, Jennifer graduated at the top of her class in the four-year Masters program offered by the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Interests
Outside of her practice, Jen loves hiking and Yoga and all things Philadelphia.

MIA K. WEINBERG

Mia K. Weinberg joined Moss Acupuncture in 2011. She is a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist and primary care provider in San Francisco. She specializes in family medicine, and treats patients of all ages with a wide range of ailments including women’s health, stress, pain, digestive disorders, skin conditions, adolescent development, and pediatrics, with a particular focus on preventative health.

Chinese medicine is a complimentary form of medicine. Mia Weinberg works closely with many health care professionals including western MDs, psychologists, physical therapists, and chiropractors to build a healthcare plan that is right for each individual. She draws upon her experience as a public health educator and researcher to help her patients navigate through a complicated medical framework. She utilizes a broad range of modalities to treat her patients including acupuncture, herbs, cupping, electro-stimulation, supplements, nutritional counseling, and western medical diagnostic tools. Her goal is to provide integrated, educated, comprehensive healthcare to her patients.

Education
Ms. Weinberg graduated with honors from University of California Santa Cruz with a degree in Public Health. She went on to study at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM) in San Francisco and graduated at the top of her class from the four-year Masters of Science program. Clinical experience included rotations at The California Pacific Medical Center Stroke and Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation Clinic, ACTCM Community Clinic, and the Haight Ashbury Free Clinic.

Mia has advanced training in women's health and pediatrics. She works closely with Jennifer Moss LAc, fertility specialist and founder of Moss Acupuncture. She also studies with veteran acupuncturists, Efrem Korngold OMD and Harriet Beinfield, LAc, authors of Between Heaven and Earth and creators of a patented line of herbal remedies. Additionally, she has received further education in pediatrics from Raven Lang LAc. These experiences have provided Mia with a comprehensive understanding of integrative medical strategies related to women's health and pediatrics.

Interests
Mia K. Weinberg was born and raised in San Francisco and is inspired by the diverse cultural influences of her city and her family. As a child she grew up on Clement Street in the heart of San Francisco’s new Chinatown, buying dried cuttlefish in the Chinese Herb shops and receiving acupuncture for common child ailments from her family’s practitioner. She is committed to weaving together her modern perspective with traditional Chinese wisdom.
